Kate Middleton and Prince William Are Now on YouTube: ‘Better Late Than Never’

Move over, Instagram. Kate Middleton and Prince William are now on a new social media platform: YouTube.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced that they have officially launched a joint YouTube account. The couple shared the news in a video collage on IG. “Better late than never—we're now on @YouTube Link in bio,” the duo captioned the post.

The 25-second clip includes footage of the couple attending a variety of royal engagements, as well as a handful of quirky moments. “All right, you be careful what you say now because these guys are filming everything,” William says at the beginning of the clip. Middleton responds, “I know!”

Our favorite part of the video features a behind-the-scenes outtake from this year's St. Patrick's Day video, during which Middleton tells her hubby, “You don't need to roll your Rs.”

Currently, the compilation is the only video uploaded to the channel. According to the stats, was created on October 7, 2020 and already has over 26 thousand subscribers. (No word on why the account hasn’t been used until now.) After the first hour alone, the clip raked in over 16 thousand views.

In addition, we couldn’t help but notice that the couple’s big announcement also coincided with a change to their profile name. Before their IG account was titled @kensingtonroyal, and now it reads @thedukeandduchessofcambridge.

Welcome to YouTube, you two.
