Kate Middleton & Prince William Just Shared a Rare Personal Statement and Released Never-Before-Seen Family Footage

Prince William and Kate Middleton are thanking fans and followers for their anniversary wishes in the best way possible—by sharing never-before-seen family footage on social media.

On Thursday, in honor of a decade of marriage, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a video on Instagram featuring themselves and their three children—George, Charlotte and Louis—enjoying a family day at the beach.

“Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary,” the duo captioned the post. “We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family.” They even signed the personal message, “W&C.”

In the footage, we see the family of five laughing, hugging and running together on the beach and in the brush. At one point, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis even seesaw. However, our favorite portion of the video is towards the end when the whole Cambridge gang roasts marshmallows over a firepit.

According to Town & Country, the video was taken last autumn near the family's country home in Norfolk (where they remained for the majority of the quarantine) and was edited by filmmaker, Will Warr.

And while we usually expect a few official portraits to be released for major milestones, we definitely were not expecting this candid home footage. Of course, in typical royal family fashion, we also got a handful of brand-new photos of the duke and duchess.

New portraits and home videos? Best. Anniversary. Ever.
