Kate Middleton and Prince William Wear Matching Blue Outfits on Commonwealth Day

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge decided to have a twinning moment on their recent outing in London.

On Monday, Kate Middleton and Prince William wore matching royal blue outfits for the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey. At the event, the duchess sported blue from head to toe, rocking a Catherine Walker wool coat and a coordinating hat. She paired the look with navy blue suede heels, gloves and a clutch purse.

The royal accessorized the outfit with a sapphire necklace, matching drop earrings and her engagement ring, which belonged to the late Princess Diana. Meanwhile, William wore a navy suit with a blue patterned tie and a white buttoned-down shirt.

This appearance comes after the royal couple visited the Ukrainian Cultural Center in London last week. Middleton decided to pay homage to Ukraine by wearing the colors of the nation’s flag. They visited the facility to learn more about the efforts being done in the U.K. to help the people of Ukraine.

At the event, she donned an Alexander McQueen blue jumper with navy blue flare pants. She completed the look with black pointed heels. To show a united front, they both decided to wear matching blue and yellow pins (with a white heart in the middle), which showcased the colors of the country’s flag.

Back in February, the married couple released a public statement on Twitter denouncing the Russian invasion in Ukraine. The statement read, “In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future. Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future.”

The color blue never looked so good.
