Kate Middleton’s Mom Just Spilled the Tea on What Prince William Is Like as a Son-in-Law

Family is important to Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole. So when her daughter started dating Prince William, the 63-year-old had her reservations.

In her first-ever interview, the Middleton mom opened up about having Prince William as a son-in-law to The Telegraph.

She explained that her family “comes first and that will always be the case.” Middleton admitted that when her daughter began dating a member of the royal family her “biggest fear” was that she’d “lose my family, but we’ve stayed close.” Judging from Kate’s good luck text, we’d say so.

So what does Middleton think of William now? She simultaneously kept it classy and subtly dropped her son, James, a hint, saying, “I have two lovely sons-in-law and I hope I’ll have a lovely daughter-in-law.” She’s of course referencing her daughter Pippa’s husband, James Mathews, and her son, James’s, single status.
