Karl Lagerfeld x L'Oréal Makeup Collaboration to Launch This Fall

Fans of Karl Lagerfeld will want to mark their calendars now. L'Oréal Paris revealed one of the fashion icon's final projects: a makeup collection that will debut at Paris Fashion Week and then launch on September 27th.

Though details about the posthumous collection are sparse, what we do know is that it will showcase the designer's rock-chic style with a Parisian twist (which you can glean from the brand's Instagram video announcing the collaboration).

The campaign will feature Karl's most iconic quotes (gems like "Embrace the present and invent the future," "Chic is a kind of mayonnaise, either it tastes, or it doesn't" and "Don't dress to kill, dress to survive" come to mind).

And for those of us who recall the frenzy past Chanel beauty launches have caused (i.e., the Jade nail polish from 2009 that this editor tracked down on eBay for an undisclosed sum), we're sure this collection—especially at its drugstore prices—will become a collector's item.

We'll be keeping an eye on #KarlxLorealParis until then.
