Whether she’s walking the red carpet or playing Penny on The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco’s makeup is always on point. When we enjoyed a Celebeauty Sit-Down with the 33-year-old actress’s go-to makeup artist, Jamie Greenberg, courtesy of Marshalls, we were curious to know how she keeps Cuoco’s skin looking dewy.
Greenberg, whose client roster also includes Rashida Jones, Kristen Stewart, Jessica Alba and Busy Philipps to name a few, told PureWow she relies on a single trick to make sure Cuoco and other clients’ skin looks fresh.
“Over hydrate and mask every day!” she said. Greenberg went on to say that the biggest mistake she sees clients making is not using a mask on the reg.
“You can never have too many masks, which is why you’ll always find a handful on me at any given time. And secondly, you don’t have to spend a fortune on them,” Greenberg noted. “Masks with aloe, caffeine and hyaluronic acid are perfect for hydration, and you can find them at your local Marshalls store at some pretty stellar prices, that make it easy to experiment.”
Why is using a hydrating face mask so important to makeup? Greenberg explains, “Hydration is key, and having healthy skin is the best base for natural-looking, beautiful makeup.” Good to know.
Besides going ham on face masks, Greenberg says Cuoco also loves taking risks and trying new things when it comes to beauty.
“She doesn’t care what people think. It’s liberating and refreshing to work with her! I’m always pushing my clients to step out of their comfort zone with makeup…We never do the same thing twice, but a smoky eye with a nude lip is our go-to,” she said.
Greenberg went on to say, “Kaley is the most wonderful person. She is so collaborative and loves having a good time. Two things I love, too! I’m so lucky to work with her and call her a best friend.”
Pardon us while we sneak off to do a face mask and consider what it’d be like to be BFFs with Kaley Cuoco…
