Jessica Chastain is getting back to business and wrapping up her next major film project.
PureWow recently sat down to chat with the 43-year-old actress to discuss her latest partnership with LetsGetChecked, the leading direct-to-consumer at-home health testing and insights company, which she used to get screened for coronavirus before returning back to work. During the chat, Chastain also opened up about her latest movie, 355, which she recently flew to London to film additional scenes for.
“355 was a code name for the first female spy during the American Revolution,” she told PureWow. “Actually, the real name of this woman remains a mystery to this day. She was incredibly helpful, but she just was just known as ‘355.’ Women in American espionage used that code in some sense as a badge of honor. The film is about women in international espionage from agencies all around the world. It's with myself, Penélope Cruz, Lupita Nyong'o and Diane Kruger with Sebastian Stan and Édgar Ramírez.” Talk about a star-studded cast.
Unfortunately, the film was planning on tying up loose ends just before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. But luckily, they were still able to finish it up after a short hiatus, after Universal sent at home coronavirus tests to staff weekly in order to ensure a safe return to set.
“We made the film last year, and in April there were some scenes we wanted to add,” she continued. “But because of quarantine, we weren’t able to do that. So, we just recently went to London to shoot and only shot for five days.”
You can catch the new spy-thriller in theaters on January 15, 2021. We’ll be there.
