Jennifer Lawrence ditched her usual couture designer red carpet threads for a more going-to-the-chapel look at the premiere of her new film, Faces Places. (It’s OK, we’re a little confused, too.)

Yesterday, the Mother! actress wore a bohemian floor-length L. Wells gown from the New York designer’s 2018 bridal collection. With its plunging neckline, flutter sleeves and lace details, all J-Law needed was a veil to complete her matrimonial look.
While it’s a somewhat interesting choice for the red carpet (she looks damn good), this isn’t the first time Lawrence wore a bridal-inspired ensemble on the red carpet. At the New York premiere of Mother! last month, she donned a custom Christian Dior Couture dress that highly resembled something you’d see a Kleinfeld bride purchase on Say Yes to the Dress. However, while the Dior masterpiece was indeed bridal-inspired, it was not a wedding gown. Baby steps.
Hint, hint, Darren Aronofsky.
