James Middleton Makes a Rare Public Plea After His Dog Bike Is Stolen

James Middleton is giving back to the community after a prized possession was stolen from him (and his dogs).

It all started yesterday when Kate Middleton’s brother, 32, posted a slideshow on his personal Instagram account, explaining that his dog bike was stolen in England.

The slideshow features several photos of Middleton’s Dog-E Cargo Bike. (The electric ride is manufactured by Babboe and retails for £2,299—about $2,920.)

He wrote, “Sadly, my Dog Bike got stolen—Ella & Co are devastated—taking the dogs out on the bike brings me so much joy and to all those we meet on the way. There is CCTV which is being investigated but would love to find it…”

Middleton went on to say that regardless of recovery, he’s planning on donating to a local animal shelter if the post reaches more than 15,000 likes. (It already surpassed 28k.)

He continued, “Please spread the word and if this reaches 15k likes I will make a donation to our neighbors @battersea dog & cat home in support of their wonderful work whose residents have lost more than just a bike!”

Middleton isn’t shy about sharing his love for his dogs. Earlier this year, he sat down for an interview with The Daily Mail and revealed that his fur babies provide him with emotional support.

“Ella, particularly, has been my constant companion for ten years and she’s been with me to all my therapy sessions. In her own particular way, she has kept me going,” he said. “As a result, Ella and I now volunteer with the Pets as Therapy charity and Ella is a fully-fledged therapy dog for PAT.”

Bet that thief had no idea who he/she was messing with.
