*This* Is How Long It Takes for Retinol to Work

There are few skin care ingredients out there that are as heavily researched and beloved as retinol. And though it's been around for years, there is still a learning curve to using the stuff because it is, indeed, very potent.

One of the main struggles with retinol is that it takes a while to see results; in fact, many users experience a purging period where their skin actually looks worse (i.e., pimples that are coming to the surface and dry, flaky skin) before it gets better.

So exactly how long does it take to see the light (of your newly glowing complexion)? Twelve weeks or three months give or take. So hang in there, friends. Like most great things in life, it's worth the wait.

Help! What’s the Difference Between Retinol and Retinoids?
