It appears the fourth (and final) season of The Good Place is getting even more cast members.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Mike Schur revealed that while past seasons have featured several familiar faces, the new episodes will include a slew of newcomers.
“We’ve had a lot of wonderful guest stars, like Jason Manztoukas playing Derek or Maribeth Monroe playing Mindy St. Clair,” he said. “There are people in the world who pop up and then they come back, and they come back. But this year, there are new additions to the world who are fairly permanent—at least for the initial status quo.”
Schur went on to say that adding actors in addition to the main cast will be a first for the NBC series. “That was a new thing for us,” he added. “We’d never really had characters besides the main six who we were juggling week to week, and now we have a bunch of new ones. So that’s the biggest change about this season.”
We’ve never felt more ready. Season four of The Good Place will premiere on NBC sometime this fall.
