You’ll Never Guess Which ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Is Playing Judy Garland’s Daughter in ‘Judy’

For that special subset of fans who geeked out over Game of Thrones and also squealed with joy when the trailer for Judy dropped, we have some fun crossover news for you. Judy, the upcoming Judy Garland biopic, stars one of your (probably) favorite Game of Thrones characters. Any guesses?

Here’s a clue: “I might be small, Lord Glover, and I might be a girl. But I am every bit as much a Northerner as you.”

That’s right, fan favorite Lyanna Mormont, played by the small-but-mighty Bella Ramsey, will be starring alongside Renée Zellweger (Judy Garland) as Garland’s youngest daughter, Lorna Luft.

Born into show business, Luft made her TV debut at age 11 singing “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town,” on her mother’s CBS show, The Judy Garland Show. She’s since had a busy stage and singing career performing around the world in productions including Guys and Dolls, Follies, Gypsy and more. In 2007 she released a debut CD, Lorna Luft: Songs My Mother Taught Me and most recently, she’s toured the U.K. with Judy - The Songbook of Judy Garland, a show highlighting Garland's life and music.

We bet she had no idea someone as fierce as Bella Ramsey would be playing her on the silver screen.

Judy hits theaters on Friday, September 27.
