Snow Way! A 2-Hour ‘Game of Thrones’ Film Is Coming Right After the Series Finale

The season eight finale of Game of Thrones is due out May 19. But hold the door! GoT isn't going away that easily, and once we have a chance to dry our tears and wipe away the snot, we'll be getting even more Thrones content after the Night's Watch has officially ended.

A two-hour documentary about Game of Thrones' last season will premiere on Sunday, May 26 at 9 p.m. EST, one week after the last episode of the biggest show on TV, HBO announced Wednesday.

The documentary, called Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, will cover season eight production, but sounds like it is so much more than that.

In a press release, HBO said, "Much more than a 'making of' documentary, this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world—and then have to say goodbye to it."

The flick, directed by Jeanie Finlay, will chronicle the most expensive, complicated and epic season yet. It was made "with unprecedented access" and "is an up-close and personal report from the trenches of production, following the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers."

Yep. It's not over 'til the dragon lady sings (or something like that).
