Previously winning the Best Actress Award for her performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the actress took the stage to present Olivia Colman with this year’s Best Actress Award. But instead of your typical high heels, McDormand was clad in a pair of Valentino custom yellow suede Birkenstocks underneath her pink dress from Valentino’s spring 2019 collection. “I have worn these sandals for most of my adult life,” McDormand said of Birkenstock’s iconic two-strap Arizona sandals, according to Vogue. “They have literally formed me physically and philosophically. All that I desired was to have a pair in my favorite color: acid yellow. And now they exist!”
