Drew Barrymore Shows Love to ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Co-Stars Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu in a New IG Post

In honor of International Women’s Day, Drew Barrymore decided to post a rare throwback picture from her Charlie’s Angels days. But, it wasn’t just any old snapshot. The actress wanted to celebrate two women who she admires dearly: her former co-stars, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.

Yesterday, the talk show host shared a black-and-white photo of the dynamic trio sitting with their legs intertwined. In the snapshot, Barrymore rocked a black ensemble from head to toe. Meanwhile, Diaz wore a sleeveless white shirt with black denim jeans. Liu decided to deviate from the casual look, wearing a knee-length dress with a detailed floral pattern.

Barrymore captioned the photo, “Happy #internationalwomensday [red heart emoji] @lucyliu @camerondiaz.”

Fans couldn’t stop talking about the iconic throwback to the film. “How I LOVE this trio!” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another fan mentioned a possible sequel starring all three leading ladies, writing, “We need Charlie’s Angels 3!!”

Even Diaz wanted to show love to her Charlie’s Angels co-stars, writing “Miss them sooooooooooooo!!!” with the red heart and women with bunny ears emoji.

All three women worked together on the 2000 film Charlie’s Angels and its sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Based on the television series of the same name, the story centers around three female private detectives working for the Townsend Agency. At the time, the installments received mixed reviews from critics, but, the films have solidified themselves as cult classics.

Barrymore has stayed in touch with her former co-stars over the years. Last September, Diaz stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show, and the old castmates recreated their signature pose (with her guest co-host, Ross Matthews, taking Liu’s spot).
