We’ve Got a New Trailer for the Live-Action ‘Mulan’ and We Finally See Mushu

Mulan is definitely bringing honor to her family. At least, that’s what we’re getting from the film’s brand-new trailer.

The second trailer for the highly anticipated live-action film was released on Thursday and features new looks at familiar characters (as well as some new faces). The video also retells the character’s origin story and the lead-up to her taking her father’s place in the war. And yes, we finally get a small (and we mean small) glimpse of Mushu.

“It is my duty to protect my family,” she says as she grabs her father’s sword.

Disney dropped the first teaser trailer for the remake back in July. In its first 24 hours, the trailer garnered more than 175 million views (placing it in the top-ten most-viewed trailers ever).

The remake of the 1998 animated classic stars Liu Yifei (Once Upon a Time) as Hua Mulan. Jet Li (The Expendables) will play the Emperor of China.

According to Screen Rant, the new movie won't include the iconic soundtrack or any actual singing by the actors, but it seems Disney will still try to incorporate the beloved score from the original movie in some way (like how they feature a slowed-down, instrumental version of "Reflection" in both trailers so far).
