Muggles: Daniel Radcliffe’s Favorite ‘Harry Potter’ Movie Will Surprise You

Call up Ron and Hermione, because we may be getting more Harry Potter movies or TV shows in the not-so-distant future.

Speaking with IGNHarry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe said he thinks the movies will be resurrected at some point…and we wonder if he’s already brought this up to J.K. Rowling.

“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime—we’ve already got a few more,” Radcliffe said, referencing Jamie Parker and Gareth Reeves, who have portrayed The Boy Who Lived on stage in London and New York for the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

“It will be interesting to see how long those films stay…” he continued. “It feels like there’s a sacredness around them at the moment. But that’ll go, the shine will wear off at some point,” Radcliffe said. “It’ll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series; I’m fascinated to watch.”

OK, so we probably won’t get more Radcliffe as the lightning-scarred wizard…but we think he’s really onto something with this reboot idea. Or a spinoff Harry Potter show about Hagrid featuring the lovable Fang? Netflix, you have our number.

Radcliffe also recently revealed his favorite Harry Potter franchise movie, and the answer is as shocking as a rogue Bogart. In a recent interview with Wired, the Miracle Workers actor answered the Internet’s most-asked questions about himself.

“I love the last one, but I also really love the fifth, which is not a lot of people’s favorite,” Radcliffe said. “I love it because of the relationship between Harry and Sirius Black.”

“You get a lot of Gary Oldman in that movie,” Radcliffe added about the actor who played Harry Potter’s godfather, Sirius Black, in the Warner Bros. films. “That was my favorite one. Probably to film as well. We had a really, really good time making that one. Five or Seven, Part 2.”

We have to agree with you, Dan. Although the Goblet of Fire is a close third—all right, who are we kidding? We love them ALL.
