Prince William Has a Facial Scar He Affectionately Calls His ‘Harry Potter Scar’

Once upon a time, Prince William, motorcycle enthusiast and less-than-operatic singer, revealed he has a strange “talent” deserving of an official Hogwarts diploma.

The Duke of Cambridge has a scar on his forehead, and much like Harry Potter’s, Will says it glows on occasion (although not when Voldemort is around).

Prince William acquired what he calls his “Harry Potter” scar when he was hit in the head with a golf club (gasp!) at the age of 13.

As the dad of three told The Daily Mail in 2009, “I call it [my Harry Potter scar] because it glows sometimes and some people notice it—other times they don’t notice it at all.”

He went on to explain the incident that left him with a light scar above his right eyebrow, saying, “I got hit by a golf club when I was playing golf with a friend of mine. We were on a putting green and the next thing you know there was a seven-iron and it came out of nowhere and it hit me in the head.”

Was it his brother Harry? Was it Malfoy? Was someone golfing in an invisibility cloak?  We may never know…
