Christina Aguilera Is Channeling Britney Spears, Lady Gaga & Celine Dion for Her Latest Gig

It’s official: Christina Aguilera is following in the footsteps of Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Celine Dion.

The “Genie in a Bottle” singer, 38, appeared on today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed that she has a fantastic excuse for not returning to The Voice. When the daytime host asked if she’s interested in doing more shows, Aguilera confirmed that she signed on for a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood, titled: “The Xperience.”

“So, it’s been in talks for quite a few years now, but now that I’ve got my feet wet, I am going to do a residency in Vegas,” she says.

This will be Aguilera’s first concert series in ten-plus years. The last time she toured, she was pregnant with her first child, Max, who is now 11 (!) years old. The singer also has a 4-year-old daughter, Summer.

“How much easier for everyone to just come to one place and fill the venue with fantasy and love and excitement and put on a show that I’ve actually been accumulating for years” she adds.

Aguilera is joining the likes of Spears (Park MGM), Gaga (Park MGM), Dion (Caesars Palace), Mariah Carey (Caesars Palace), Gwen Stefani (Planet Hollywood), Cher (The Park Las Vegas), Billy Idol (Palms Casino Resort), Santana (Mandalay Bay), Boyz II Men (The Mirage) and Backstreet Boys (Planet Hollywood), all who have 2019 residencies in Vegas.

More details about DeGeneres’s exclusive presale event, which begins this Thursday, can be found online.

Sounds like our kind of Xperience
