Catherine Zeta-Jones is one proud mama. The 50-year-old actress just shared a rare photo of her daughter (and it’s obvious where she gets her looks from).
Over the weekend, the Chicago star posted a photo of her teenage daughter, Carys, on Instagram. In the gorgeous snap, we see the 17-year-old donning cream, silk dress with her hair blowing in the wind. “My girl, in the garden,” she captioned the post (that’s definitely not the view we have from our garden).
It’s clear from the photograph that the youngest child of Jones and hubby, Michael Douglas, definitely inherited her mom’s genes. And we’re not just talking about the dark hair. The teenager also seems to have acquired Zeta-Jones’s smile and rosy cheeks. Not to mention, similarities in the shapes of their eyes and noses are unmistakable.
And we weren’t the only ones to notice the striking resemblance. Fans quickly began filling the comment’s section of the Instagram post. One person wrote, “I thought it was you. Beautiful!,” while another commented, “Just as beautiful as her mum.”
This isn’t the first time we’ve noticed the likeness between the mother-daughter duo. We first pointed it out in 2018, when they attended Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda event and walked the red carpet looking just like twins. Not to mention they both wore hoop earrings and strappy sandals. And in September 2017, the pair attended the Michael Kors spring fashion show and, once again, proved like mother, like daughter.
Now, if we could just get the details on that silk dress, we’d be very appreciative.
