Carrie Underwood Shares Sweet Tribute to Hubby Mike Fisher 11 Years After They First Met

It’s been over a decade since Carrie Underwood met her husband, Mike Fisher. And to honor the special day, the country singer shared a sweet tribute to him on social media.

The couple, who have been married for nine years and are parents to two sons (Isaiah Michael and Jacob Bryan), met at a backstage meet-and-greet at one of her concerts 11 years ago. Yeah, we’re serious.

And to mark the special occasion, the singer and retired NHL player had a date night (without the kids) in New York City. Lucky for us, Underwood documented the night with a photo of her and Fisher on her Instagram page.

See the post below.

“11 years ago yesterday, I met the love of my life...patient, kind, the best dad, handsome, of course!” she captioned the post. “Someone who accepts me and all my flaws...the same as me in many ways...opposite in some. But he is my match. The iron to sharpen me....tonight we celebrated at @delposto. A rare night out with amazing food and even more amazing company and conversation. Here’s to so many more years together. Love you, babe!”

The pair dated for over two years before tying the knot in July 2010 on Lake Oconee, Georgia, and often post about their life together.

Recently celebrating their wedding anniversary, Fisher shared an Instagram post about their nine years of marriage. “9 years feels like 9 minutes!!!! Grateful to be on this journey with you @carrieunderwood !! Time sure does fly #datenight #happyanniversary,” he captioned the snap.

Congrats, you two—here’s to 11 more!
