Filming for ‘Bridgerton’ Season Two Is Officially Underway

Looks like Emily in Paris isn’t the only popular Netflix series that’s filming more episodes. Bridgerton has also recently begun shooting its second season, and there are even photos.

Per Entertainment Weekly, series star Jonathan Bailey and newcomer Simone Ashley were spotted on set on April 30. According to the report, the duo attended a horse race at Ascot Racecourse along with a handful of other season two cast members. (See the images here.)

As far as the plot goes, the show will continue to follow the books (as it did with season one). Therefore, season two will coincide with Quinn’s second novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me, and will center more around Anthony Bridgerton and his quest for love.

Lady Whistledown also addressed what viewers can expect from season two. “This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Briderton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.”

Back in February, Deadline reported that Ashley had been cast as the female lead, Kate Sharma, opposite Bailey. “Newly arrived in London, Kate is a smart, headstrong young woman who suffers no fools—Anthony Bridgerton very much included.”

So, while these on-set photos don’t provide too much context, it looks like Anthony’s quest for love is in full swing.

And we can’t wait.
