The ‘Breaking Bad’ Movie Rumors Are True, and Here's Where It Will Air

Grab your hazmat suits, because we just got word about the new Breaking Bad movie that’s in the works from the original show’s creator, Vince Gilligan.

According to unnamed sources per Deadline, the new project, which has been “shrouded in secrecy” but supposedly carries the working title Greenbrier, will reportedly air on Netflix first and AMC second. The Emmy-winning show’s original network, AMC, first aired the TV series back in 2008.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be a sequel to the original series and will star Aaron Paul reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman.

According to reports from World of Reel, the movie code-named Greenbrier will feature Breaking Bad veterans Bryan Cranston (Walter White), Krysten Ritter (Jane Margolis), Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut), Jesse Plemons (Todd Alquist), Charles Baker (Skinny Pete), Matt Jones (Badger), Robert Forster (Ed, aka The Disappearer), Tess Harper (Mrs. Pinkman) and Kevin Rankin (Kenny).

If these reports are true, it means Walter (and a few other characters killed off in the TV show) is featured in flashbacks, since THR just confirmed it was a sequel-style project.

Whatever they’re cookin’ up, we know we’ll be ready.
