Netflix Just Dropped ‘Black Mirror’ Season 5 and Miley Cyrus Is Giving Us ‘Hannah Montana’ Horror

Netflix just dropped Black Mirror season five, and we're counting down the minutes 'til we can rush home to watch all three episodes. (Yes, sadly, the whole season is just three installments that each run a little over an hour.)

In May, the streaming service released the first official trailer for the fifth season. The Charlie Brooker-helmed anthology show features an all-star cast, including Anthony Mackie, Miley Cyrus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace, Damson Idris, Andrew Scott, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff, Angourie Rice, Madison Davenport and Ludi Lin. (Yeah, we weren’t kidding when we said this was big.)

In the trailer, we were introduced to three entirely new story lines, each correlating with one of the new episodes. The first one, called "Striking Vipers," follows a husband and his old college roommate who become immersed in a video game world to escape their reality.

The second episode, called "Smithereens," revolves around a ride-share driver who takes a social media company worker hostage.

Cyrus stars in the third plot, called "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too," in which she plays a famous performer with a robot doll alter ego.

Black Mirror originally premiered on Netflix in 2011. The new season comes less than six months after series creators Brooker and Annabel Jones released the streaming service’s first-ever interactive movie, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Is it just us, or does Cyrus’s story line sound like a horrifying continuation of Hannah Montana? Sweet niblets!
