Bindi Irwin just shared a much-needed postpartum update, which included another glimpse of her newborn daughter.
Earlier today, the Crikey! It’s the Irwins star, 22, posted a slideshow of never-before-seen photos on Instagram, featuring the proud mom and her husband, Chandler Powell, cradling their baby girl, Grace.
In the first photo, Irwin and Powell are wearing coordinating black outfits as they gush over the baby, who’s peacefully sleeping. The second features a close-up shot of Grace, along with a placard that reads, “One week old.” All we have to say is…that tongue!
Irwin captioned the post, “Our perfect Grace Warrior is one week old. This week has been filled with sweet snuggles and infinite love.”
Powell posted a similar picture on his personal Instagram account. The photo shows him looking at the camera (instead of Grace) with the caption, “One week as a family of 3 [red heart emoji] My two beautiful girls make every day perfect.”
Irwin and Powell welcomed their first child on March 25, which just so happened to be their first wedding anniversary. The proud mom announced the exciting news on social media and wrote, “Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter. Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.”
Irwin also shared the meaning behind her daughter’s name, adding, “Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler's family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.”
