Another day, another Marvel trailer.
With all the hype from Captain Marvel being released last week, we almost completely forgot that Avengers: Endgame is only a month away (JK, there’s no way we could forget). And leave it to Marvel to keep us on our toes with an all new Avengers trailer. And it looks like the movie is going to deliver quite an emotional conclusion.
In the footage, we see Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), stranded on a spaceship, reflecting on his Iron Man origins and his failure to defeat Thanos. The rest of the team (or at least everyone who didn’t turn into dust) is trying to pick up the pieces back on earth. The whole trailer is rather somber and dark, unlike most Marvel trailers we see. But we can assume all of the action is being saved for the real thing.
Perhaps the best part of the entire two minutes and 26 seconds is what feels like an end credit scene. We assumed we would see Carol Danvers join the team at some point, but are we sensing sparks between the God of Thunder and Captain Marvel?
Seems like the crew is going to be doing “whatever it takes” to stop Thanos and bring back the rest of the team.
The final Avengers installment hits theaters April 26.
