Ava Phillippe recently went on a sweet date with her boyfriend, Owen Mahoney. And lucky for us, she gave us a glimpse into their night by posting a selfie on Instagram.
On Sunday, the 21-year-old shared a snap of herself and Mahoney attending a San Francisco Giants baseball game. “He’s a Giants fan…and I’m a garlic fries fan,” she captioned the post.
And we couldn’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance between the French fry-loving fan and her mother, Reese Witherspoon. Not only has Phillippe acquired her mother’s hair, but she also has her mother’s face shape, nose and eye color. (Seriously, she’s practically becoming her mom’s twin.)
We weren’t the only ones who thought Phillippe resembled her mother. In fact, fans and followers filled the comments section—some even compared Maloney to a young version of his girlfriend’s father, Ryan Phillippe.
One user wrote, “I thought this was her dad for a moment,” while another added, “Omg, he looks like your Dad! Beautiful couple!” A third person even chimed in urging other users to stop making such a comparison (even if it is true). She wrote, “Oh guys don’t say he looks like her dad! Even though Ryan Philippe is beautiful—no girl wants to hear that her bf looks like her dad! But they both looking awesome! Have a great day.”
The couple, who met and began dating in 2019, have been sharing a ton of photos together on their social media recently. In fact, back in June, Phillippe gave fans a sneak peek at their vacation to Austin, Texas.
