Alizée Thevenet Reveals She Borrowed Her Wedding Dress from James Middleton’s Mom, Carole

Alizée Thevenet made sure she had something borrowed for her wedding to James Middleton. It turns out, the financial analyst dipped into her mother-in-law Carole’s closet when choosing her wedding dress.

ICYMI: the couple said “I do” on September 11 in a small village in France. Kate Middleton's younger brother announced the exciting news in a heartfelt Instagram post, featuring a selfie of the newlyweds.

Just a week later, Thevenet is opening up about the process of finding the perfect dress, which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline.

“While talking about dresses with Carole and sharing ideas during lockdown for inspiration, I tried on her wedding dress and fell in love with it," the newlywed revealed to Hello! “It fitted me perfectly and was exactly what I wanted. It always troubled me that wedding dresses are only worn once, so it was amazing to give such a beautiful dress a second lease of life.”

Middleton himself also revealed some details about their special day. “The flower girls Ella and Mabel were given the job of welcoming each guest as they arrived,” he told the outlet. “We couldn't be happier. It was wonderful to finally celebrate with family and friends despite the challenges of a global pandemic but we were relaxed and knew the day would eventually come.”

We love this.
