Airbnb Now Features Animal Experiences & Where Do We Sign Up?

Calling all animal lovers: Airbnb just launched more than 1,000 brand-new experiences just for you.

On Tuesday, the company unveiled its newest collaboration with World Animal Protection—“Airbnb Animal Experiences”—which offers travelers a new way of understanding animals through expert hosts in what the company refers to as “a new standard for animal tourism.”

Yup, these specific destinations and excursions are animal focused, offering guests a new way to connect with a variety of animals both domestically and internationally. The experiences range from short hour-long tours to multi-day natural immersions (!).

We’re talking everything from paddle-boarding with corgis to working and learning alongside urban beekeepers.

“With technology taking up so much of our lives, it’s easy to feel disconnected from nature and animals,” said Brian Chesky, Airbnb CEO and co-founder. “Maybe this is why social media is dominated by animal memes. Life is better with animals, but for many busy people, looking at them through a screen is the closest they can get. With Airbnb Animal Experiences, locals and travelers are just a few clicks away from being alongside them in the real world.”

Perhaps the best part? Over 100 of the experiences are considered “social impact experiences,” which means that all proceeds from bookings are donated to nonprofit organizations that support things such as conservation, animal rescue and veterinary care.
