One thing you can’t get around when you have a house cat is the whole litter box thing. We’ve tried hiding it behind closet doors, but no matter how hard we try, the plastic basin is never fully concealed and it never looks cute. Then one fateful day when we were contemplating an Amazon Prime haul, we found this little beacon of light: a litter box disguised as a plant in a terra-cotta pot.

Sure, it’s kitschy, and some would say the fake plant looks, well, fake. But it’s actually genius. With nearly 3,000 positive reviews on Amazon, clearly other cat owners feel the same way. Like this enthusiastic buyer who raved, “I've literally never written an Amazon review in my life, but I felt like this was a necessary item to review! Basically, if you’re thinking about ordering this litter box, DO IT!” And yet another who gushed, “I hated having the litter box out in the open in my new apartment…This is very inconspicuous. I place the opening towards the corner so my cat can still get in, but I don’t have to look at it. Win-win!” Multiple other reviewers also mentioned that a few passes with spray paint (in black, white or chrome) will transform the orangy terra-cotta hue into something much more fitting for your space.

So, let’s recap: This litter box looks like a plant, has thousands of good reviews and solves small-space issues. Even the non-cat people in the PureWow office agree that it’s a winner.
