If you’re already devoting a nice chunk of your newfound free time to exploring your wine fridge, this winery wants to help.
In the age of being homebound, Inman Family Wines is “putting the social in social distancing” and introducing a new virtual wine tasting that benefits a great cause (and no, we don’t mean getting you tipsy).
Owner of Sonoma County, California’s Russian River Valley winery, Kathleen Inman, opted to bring her expertise to wine enthusiasts across the country with four new wine tasting packages. You can order a trio of rosé ($84), pinot noir ($216), sparkling wine ($214) or a mixture of “fan favorites” ($154) from the Inman Family Wines website and then schedule a “Meet the Maker” Happy Hour session online from April 1 through 10 (further dates will be added).
The virtual tastings will be conducted via Facebook Video Chat and will bring you together with other people in need of wine and social interaction. Inman will provide her expertise and insight into each vintage and attendees are welcome to ask questions or simply sit back and enjoy their vino. And you can also feel good about your little vinous adventure since five percent of proceeds from the wines will be donated to Meals on Wheels, which connects the elderly with the meals and assistance they need.
