Lasagna and bagels and crepes, for starters

gf ny 734

New York City is home to some of the best restaurants in the universe, so naturally there’s no better place to get gluten-free foods that aren’t a total disappointment.

But exactly where to find those foods? That’s another story.

We scoured the city to find the most delicious gluten-free dishes, whether you’re gluten intolerant or ditched wheat because that ripped trainer at the gym told you it was a good idea.

Now, about that bagel…

Pala Pizza: Bufala Cruda Prosciutto Pie

This cozy Lower East Side joint has 20 gluten-free pizzas, four of which are also vegan. Our favorite pie is topped with Buffalo mozzarella, cherry-tomato sauce, prosciutto and fresh basil.

Eight Turn Crepe: Twinkleberry Parfait

Crepes are totally off-limits, right? Wrong. This Nolita creperie uses 100 percent rice flour, so you can eat its delicious berry-and-custard confection for dessert. Or even breakfast--we won’t judge.

For a treat that’s surprisingly soft and light, look no further than By the Way Bakery’s almond cookie. There’s a reason these delicious little guys are the specialty.
