Paging Meghan Markle! One of the Duchess of Sussex’s go-to shoe brands, Rothy’s, just announced some pretty major news: In addition to their line of sustainable, machine-washable footwear, they’re introducing sustainable, machine-washable handbags. And they’re structured, sleek and stylish, too.
The bags—which come in five different silhouettes—also feature a brand-new attribute: They’re made using 100-percent recycled materials, thanks to the addition of marine plastic. (Reminder, the brand already uses recycled plastic water bottles to make their shoes, a practice that will be continued with their bags as well.) Bravo, you guys.
And about those silhouettes. There’s the handbag, the essential tote, the dual-zip crossbody, the catch-all (which comes in three different sizes) and the essential pouch. Prices range from $65 for the mini catchall to $350 for the handbag. Each one comes in a variety of colors including bright poppy, sage camo and desert sand.
As for the machine-washable part? Simply pop it inside the protective bag that comes included (this is meant to keep the bag’s hardware scuff-free) and run the load. Just in case you need more detail, full care instructions are included on the site.
