We’re going to level with you: It ain’t easy navigating the crowded aisles of Trader Joe’s with a squirming five-year-old begging you for Matcha Joe-Joe’s.
That’s why we were totally delighted to learn that most locations have set up a game to keep your screaming little tyrant entertained while you stock up on Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels.
Yep, you’ve been shopping in the same TJ’s location for years, but did you know that somewhere in the store the employees have hidden an adorable stuffed animal? Us neither.
All you have to do is go about your normal shopping while telling your kids to look for a furry little creature (usually hidden somewhere in the food aisles) as you go. Then, should you happen upon, say, a friendly stuffed penguin, simply flag down an employee and let him or her know. Your lucky child will get a special sweet reward (probably a lollipop), and you'll get the satisfaction of a supermarket trip that didn't end in tears or bribery.
