3. What Is 'zoey's Extraordinary Playlist' Season 2 About?

Similar to season one, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist season two will follow Zoey (Jane Levy), an intelligent computer coder who can read people’s minds. The catch? Their wants and desires are explained through popular songs, putting a musical twist on her psychic abilities.

According to showrunner Austin Winsberg, season two will resume right where we left off. “Season two picks up six weeks after the finale from last season,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Zoey is still dealing with the aftermath of her father’s death. But she is not in the immediate throes of grief. It felt like we needed some amount of distance to get back into the story.”

4. What Happened In The Season 1 Finale?

ICYMI: The heartbreaking season one finale concluded with (spoiler alert!) Zoey attending her father Mitch’s (Peter Gallagher) funeral. The scene featured Zoey sitting with her family—mother Maggie (Mary Steenburgen); brother David (Andrew Leeds) and David’s wife, Emily (Alice Lee)—in silence, processing the day’s events. *Grabs tissue*

Oh, and how could we forget about Max (Skylar Astin) and Simon (John Clarence Stewart), who are in the midst of a love triangle with Zoey?

If you need us, we’ll be warming up our vocal cords. (Sorry, neighbors.)
