Here’s How to Make a DIY Fidget Spinner (Because You Know You Want One)

Trendy? Duh. Annoying? Extremely. Addictive? We may or may not be spinning one right now. Skip the store-bought fidget spinner and create a one-of-a-kind version for yourself or your kids with this easy how-to.

What You Need:

  • Card stock
  • Scissors
  • Safety pin
  • Toothpick
  • Glue
  • Stickers

How to Make a DIY Fidget Spinner

Step 1: Cut the card stock into four small circles and one propeller shape.

Step 2: Poke holes in the center of each of the circles and the propeller with a safety pin or thumbtack.

Step 3: Apply a spot of glue to the back of one of the circles and thread the toothpick through the hole. Add a second circle to the toothpick and press the pieces of paper together to seal the glue and attach the pieces to the toothpick.

Step 4: Add the propeller to the toothpick.

Step 5: Repeat step 3 with the two remaining circles, leaving about ¼ inch between the first circle set and this one (the propeller needs space to spin).

Step 6: Snip the excess toothpick ends from the spinner and decorate with stickers.
