Can’t swing a thousand dollar ticket to Broadway phenomenon Hamilton? We’ve got some exciting news. Soon you’ll be able to see the show that swept up 11 Tony awards for free!
…Well, sort of.
Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed that Hamilton will be filmed in front of a live audience. Parts of the performance will be combined with behind-the-scenes footage and used in an a feature film documentary called Hamilton's America. The documentary will air on October 17 as part of the PBS series "Great Performances."
And don’t worry--the footage will include Miranda himself, who is set to leave the show’s cast on July 9.
