The One Zodiac Sign That Basically Gets Along with Every Other Sign

Astrological compatibility is so often the subject of contentious debate. Do Scorpio and Capricorn really make a power couple? Is the meet-cute of Cancer and Aquarius destined for disaster? And does anyone know what’s actually up with Geminis? (Just kidding, we love you, Gems!) That said, there’s one zodiac sign that basically gets along with every other sign. No drama. Seriously. This sign is a steadfast friend, a fun date and an amazingly on-point coworker. No, this isn’t about Leo. Though Leos are more loving than any other sign (because what ensures your beloved more than making everyone else feel they’re loved in return?). It also isn’t Aries. Despite Aries being the friend who you can bring to any event (because let’s be real, they see the best in everyone). No, we’re talking about Pisces. The mutable water sign can go with every flow. Let’s explore why.

Pisces go with the flow.

Pisces is a mutable sign. Mutable signs—Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius are also mutable—come at the end of every season. Because these signs represent times of the year when things are inevitably changing (one day we’re bundled up for winter and the next day, we’re lounging in the park for spring), they’re always able to go with the flow. Pisces is the mutable water sign. Water signs are emotions-focused, giving Pisces a huge amount of empathy. Pisces can (quite literally) put themselves in anyone’s shoes.

Pisces as a friend.

As friends, Pisces are extremely grounded and reliable. With their eleventh house (the friendship sector) ruled by Saturn—planet of rules and responsibility—they take their friendships and community seriously. Once they’re in it, they’re in it for the long haul and you often see archetypally shy Pisces stepping into leadership roles at school and work. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) may find that Pisces make the best friends.

Pisces as a family member.

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and because of this, tend to be thought of as “old souls” or wise beyond their years. As kids, they often spend family gatherings chatting up their great aunt rather than running around in the backyard with their cousins. As actual adults, they lean the other way and take on a more childlike quality, always encouraging lots of games and play. Because their home and family sector is ruled by Mercury—the shapeshifting communication planet—they can take on whatever “role” the rest of the group needs them to be. Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) always appreciate Pisces’ joie de vivre the most.

Pisces on a date.

Pisces love love. So though they’re known for being introverted and hesitate to put themselves out there—once they make it to the date, they’re an absolute delight! Pisces’ romance and pleasure sector is ruled by the moon. The moon is all about creature comforts and being in touch with the rhythm of the present. Pisces know intuitively what to do and where to go. Fellow water signs (Cancer and Scorpio) vibe the most with Pisces when it comes to romance.

Pisces as a coworker.

Though they have a reputation for being space cadets, Pisces are actually firebrands in the office. With their daily grind sector ruled by the sun, the sometimes timid fish easily take control during meetings and when working on projects. Pisces are also fiercely loyal coworkers who end up staying late to fight for someone else to get a raise. They’re the sign who everyone wants on their team. Fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) love coworker Pisces the most.

Ultimately, Pisces are able to fit into any situation. Their blessing (and their curse) is that they’re always trying to meet other people at their level. Though this can sometimes leave the fish questioning their true identity, it makes them super easy to be around. No other sign is as willing to sacrifice their own needs for the good of the group or consider the situation from a different perspective.
