The One Mistake You're Probably Making When You Do Crunches

If you’ve been doing crunches for weeks on end and still feel you’re not seeing results, the saboteur might not be those cheese fries you wolfed down last weekend. It's your arms.

Wait, but what do your arms have to do with your core? Well, if your elbows are pointing toward your knees while doing crunches, the stress of the exercise gets redistributed to your head and neck instead of your abdomen. Bottom line: You're barely working your core at all. 

Instead, keep your elbows wide, relax your neck and really focus on using your core muscles to complete the move. Six-pack, here we come.
