Etsy Says These 8 Trends Will Be ~Huge~ This Wedding Season

We tipped you off to this trend following the fall 2019 bridal collections, and now the verdict is officially in: Sculptural (and oh-so-photogenic!) statement sleeves are the premier bridal fashion trend of late.

Traditional veils are a timelessly chic choice. But it appears that today’s modern brides are looking for a more unique headpiece—like feather and floral toppers, turbans, bowler hats and even oversize bows.  (Very fashun.)

The decade has enjoyed a renaissance across decor and fashion over the past few seasons—now weddings have joined in on the fun. Etsy has seen a huge uptick in ‘90s-reminiscent decor additions like iridescent paper goods and disco ball serveware, and in Paris Hilton-approved fashion decisions like rhinestone-encrusted garters and even—wait for it—butterfly hair clips.  

Three cheers for eco-conscious nuptials! Vintage and/or upcycled decor and biodegradable sourcing choices like reusable straws, bamboo tableware, seed paper paper goods and floral confetti are all surging in popularity this season.

In the tabletop realm, rich and interesting textures are top of mind for today’s brides. Think: Details with leather tooling, laser cut paper goods, raw stone accents and lush velvet linens.

From bespoke cuff links to embroidered ties and subtly-inscribed wedding bands, couples today are looking for inventive ways to weave “secret” love notes into their big day. Dawww.
