For a fun twist on a weekday breakfast (or after-school snack), try this sweet peanut butter toast. Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread is topped with creamy peanut butter, pumpkin-pie-spiced apple chips and golden raisins. Even better, it’s finished with a drizzle of sweet honey.

Ingredients

1 medium red apple—cored, halved and sliced thinly on a mandoline

¼ teaspoon vegetable oil

½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Pinch of sugar

Pinch of kosher salt

1 slice Sara Lee Artesano Potato Bread, 20oz

1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter

1 tbsp golden raisins

Honey, for drizzling

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 225°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, toss the apple slices with the vegetable oil. Set aside.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the pumpkin pie spice, sugar and salt. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples, and toss until evenly coated.

3. Transfer the apple slices to the prepared baking sheet, and bake until crisp, 2 to 2½ hours, flipping halfway through. Cool completely for the crispiest result.

4. To assemble, toast the bread until golden. Spread the peanut butter on the bread, then top with the raisins and apple chips, and drizzle with honey.
