We Just Discovered Sangrita and Its Absolutely Glorious PHOTO: LIZ ANDREW/STYLING: ERIN MCDOWELL

Deciding on a cocktail is hard. That's why we combined two of our favorites into one. Meet sangrita. It's part sangria and part margarita, so you won't have to choose between the two ever again.

Makes 6 to 8 servings
Start to Finish: 25 minutes

1½ cups orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed

¾ cup lime juice, preferably freshly squeezed

½ cup tequila

½ cup triple sec

1 bottle red wine (sweet or dry--whichever you prefer)

Lime Sugar Garnish

Zest of 1 lime

⅓ cup sugar

¼ cup cool water

Ice, as needed for serving

1. Make the Sangrita: In a large pitcher, stir the orange juice with the lime juice, tequila, triple sec and wine to combine. Chill until ready to serve.

2. Make the lime sugar:  On a small plate wide enough to fit the rim of your serving glasses, stir the sugar with the lime zest to combine.

3. When you’re ready to serve, pour the water onto another small plate wide enough to fit the rim of your serving glasses. Dip each glass into the water and then into the lime sugar.

4. Fill each glass with ice and then pour the sangrita into each glass.
