While Meghan and Harry were in New York City advocating for vaccine equity, Kate Middleton, Prince William and the kids were back in England enjoying the weekend and eating burgers and fries—er, chips.
According to The Sun, the royal couple was seen last weekend with their dog and three children—Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3,—eating lunch at a pub in Norfolk, England. Per the report, Prince George was wearing a casual T-shirt-and-sneakers look instead of his usual proper blazer and tie (albeit still paired with shorts).
The Sun cited a witness who said of the private lunch, “It was amazing to see how down-to-earth the family were. It would have been easy to miss them—and just assume they were any other family. They were laughing and chatting and clearly enjoying each other’s company. [...] There was one particularly touching moment where one of the children got upset because their food was too hot. William was so fast to reassure them and sort them out.”
The Cambridges have a home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, where they spent time quarantining at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
