Umbrella Academy fans may want to brace themselves before they reunite with the Hargreeves, because according to Tom Hopper, the bar's been set even higher for season three.

PureWow had the pleasure of sitting down with Hopper, who's now partnering with Viome, a scientific wellness company that uses artificial intelligence to boost overall health. During our chat, the actor revealed that fans will be "delighted" to see what lies ahead for the superheroes.

If you recall, the second season ends with the Hargreeves family time-traveling back to 2019 after visiting the ’60s, but they quickly realize that their actions have drastically changed their present-day lives. And though Hopper didn't reveal any plot details for the new season, he did hint that the adventures will be even bigger this time around.

He said, “This season is really taking it up a notch. If anyone has seen the end of season two, they can probably guess where things are going, and that’s a very exciting dynamic that happens in the third season.”

The actor also confirmed that filming is currently underway. While speaking about working with the rest of the cast, he added, "It’s the most fun I’ve had in any season so far.”

Aside from opening up about the highly-anticipated third season of UA, Hopper also discussed how training for roles like Black Sails and Game of Thrones have impacted his fitness journey. He said, “When I first started my acting career, I was always going up for roles where I needed to be in a certain shape, and it was always about this crash diet. It was always about trying to get the most ripped as possible.”

Hopper also recalled feeling “miserable” when he followed these diets, even though he appeared to be healthy. He explained, “I had really low energy and everything kind of dropped. I looked lean on the outside but internally I was like, ‘Man, I don’t feel like I was aiming to look.’”

“I always thought, ‘Well, if you look like that you must feel great.’ But that was not balancing out for me. There was always this up and down. I would be getting really lean for a role and then I’d finish the role. Then I would binge on crap food.”

Fortunately, the 36-year-old star’s relationship with food has since improved. And now, through his partnership with Viome, he’s hoping to inspire others to take their health and eating habits more seriously. He said, “There’s a big pandemic happening in the world, which is people’s general, overall health, and Viome is trying to [solve] that problem through preventative means.”

We get the feeling Luther Hargreeves would definitely approve.
