Timothée Chalamet Surprised Fans with Bagels at Last Night’s Premiere of ‘The King’

Timothée Chalamet, King of Bagels?

The 23-year-old actor greeted fans at the NYC premiere of his new film The King on Tuesday night. And with him he brought an unexpected gift: Bagels. Well, maybe not completely unexpected—the kind gesture was actually in response to one fan’s twitter request, back in September.

Allow us to explain. The Little Women actor tweeted about the NY premiere last month, and one fan immediately responded with an odd—yet totally relatable—request.

See the full exchange below.

According to the rest of the thread, it seems Chalamet responded ‘“lol imagine” and later deleted said response.

Almost two week later, he came through.

Understandably, fans went crazy—posting videos of the red carpet encounter to their social media pages.

Directed by David Michôd, the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part IHenry IV Part II and Henry V follows Hal (Chalamet), as he assumes the title of King Henry V after the death of his tyrannical father. The film also stars John Falstaff, Robert Pattinson, Lily-Rose Depp, Sean Harris and Ben Mendelsohn.

The King hits theaters on Oct. 11 and drops on Netflix starting Nov. 1. You bet we’ll be enjoying a nice everything bagel while we watch.
