Is a Major Traumatic Revelation Coming to ‘This Is Us’? The New Promo Makes Us Think So

Last night’s season three, episode 11 of This Is Us was a doozy. And since it’s a two-parter, we can expect episode 12, titled “Songbird Road: Part Two,” to be just as much of an emotional roller coaster. But there’s something from the promo we just can’t shake.

The episode teaser centers on the Pearsons’s journey to turn Uncle Nick’s (Griffin Dunne) life around. However, there are several hints that something nefarious from the Big Three’s childhood may also come to light.

As the narrator says, the episode will reveal “long lost memories and secrets from the past.” That spoiler is intercut with Randall (Sterling K. Brown) saying, “As a parent, you just hope the good stuff sticks.” Those foreshadowing comments seem even more suspicious when a quick image of a woman (possibly Rebecca) trying to put her hand on an uncomfortable young Kevin’s (Parker Bates) head flashes on the screen.

Is there a traumatic memory (possibly abuse?!) Kevin (Justin Hartley) has suppressed that could impact the entire family? All we know is that February 5 (when This Is Us returns) is way too far away.
