2 Contestants Just Went Head-to-Head in ‘The Masked Singer’ Smackdown Round (but We Were Left Thinking About Night Angel)

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

During last week’s two-hour-long Masked Singer special, we said hello to a Snoop Dogg impersonator and goodbye to our beloved White Tiger (who we correctly guessed to be ex-football star Rob Gronkowski). And yesterday, we welcomed judge Ken Jeong's former Community costar Yvette Nicole Brown as a guest panelist and four competitors went head-to-head for Smackdown Week.

The first pair to battle it out for a spot in next week’s "battle of the sixes" were Night Angel and Kangaroo. The mysterious angel kicked things off with a performance of Shania Twain's “Man I Feel Like a Woman.” Her clues (which each contestant showed the crowd by unpacking a suitcase this week) included a crown and a snow globe. Kangaroo hopped onto stage next and sang her rendition of Jordin Sparks’s “No Air.” Her clues? A pic of Big Ben, a ship in a bottle and red lipstick. Not shockingly, Night Angel won the battle, sending Kangaroo to the Smackdown round (more on that later).

Next, it was Astronaut’s turn to face-off against Turtle. The Astronaut performed first with “If I Can’t Have You” by Shawn Mendes. In his bag, there was a plane, the White House, an accordion and a light bulb. Turtle, on the other hand, chose James Bay’s “Let It Go,” and revealed his items to be a glove, a passport and a gavel. Not to mention, one of his luggage tags read, “Never Keep Open This Bag.” In the end, it was Turtle who won the face-off and Astronaut joined Kangaroo for the Smackdown round.

The Kangaroo starting things off with “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer, followed by Astronaut with his performance of NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye.”

And, now, the results. After the judges and audience voted for their favorite performers of the night, Kangaroo was eliminated and revealed herself to be model and reality tv star Jordyn Woods.

From the beginning, fans were pretty much spot on with their guesses for Kangaroo's identity. But now that her name is out of the bag, we're turning our attention to the current reigning theory for Kangaroo’s competitor, Night Angel.

After Night Angel's very first vocal performance, viewers were positive that the celebrity behind the mask is Real Housewives of Atlanta star and ex-Xscape member, Kandi Burruss.

As for the clue packages, online sleuths have made quite a number of connections, some of which we definitely wouldn't have thought of ourselves. In her first video, Night Angel appeared at a motel and opened a door to a group of angry older women. Burruss has a restaurant called Old Lady Gang, which would explain the mob of angry grannies.

Her third clue package video revealed that the celebrity has “been doing this since she was a teen,” and always had to juggle school with following her dream. She also revealed that she missed out on her senior prom but made sure to attend her high school graduation. Burruss actually shared a similar story on her personal Instagram account back in 2014. “I had missed all the senior trips, senior prom, etc... But I refused to miss my graduation!” she captioned part of the post.

We’re not exactly sure where this week’s crown and snow globe fits in just yet, but we’re determined to figure it out.

The Masked Singer returns on Wednesday, April 15, at 8 p.m. PT/ET on Fox.
