The New 'Stranger Things' Season 3 Trailer Reveals the Most Horrifying Twist of the Entire Series

Cover your ears, kids, because we're about to let out a few four-letter expletives in anticipation of the third season of Stranger Things.

Netflix just dropped the final trailer before season three airs on July 4, and it reveals the biggest plot twist of all: that the monster is still in Hawkins, and has found a new host—Billy Hargrove, Max's evil chain-smoking big brother.

In the summer of 1985, the Stranger Things crew looks to return to business as usual—except, it seems Eleven's huge finale scene that saw her close the gate to the Upside Down where the monsters were entering the Hawkins lab didn't work exactly as they'd hoped. One monster is still out there, and he's trying to find a host.

Next, we see Billy as the camera zooms in on his pupil widening. Oh, fudge (we warned you). Later, we see him looking ominous and monster-like as he swaggers down a hallway, his face shadowy and dark as his blonde curls cover his eyes.

Netflix revealed the new episode titles back in December:  “Suzie, Do You Copy?,” “The Mall Rats,” “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,” “The Sauna Test,” “The Source,” “The Birthday,” “The Bite”and “The Battle of Starcourt.” We’re betting on the mall rats being the season’s scariest monsters in the Upside Down, and the season finale’s “Battle of Starcourt” an epic fight to save Hawkins.

Only 13 days. Yep, we’re upside down with excitement.
