Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Pens Personal Note to First Responders: ‘I Am Thinking of You’

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is honoring one of her patronages with an inspiring and personal note.

Earlier this week, Thames Valley Air Ambulance revealed that the countess reached out to the organization to show her appreciation and offer some words of motivation during the current coronavirus pandemic. The company shared the sweet message on its official Twitter account.

“I write to you to let you know that I am thinking of you during this time of uncertainty,” the letter read. “You, your colleagues and the people that you serve are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will continue to operate as best you can and help those in need, in what are difficult circumstances. Please look after yourselves and each other as we make our way through this period.” And did you notice that signature?

The organization penned its own message in response to Sophie. “A wonderful piece of #MondayMotivation,” they captioned a photo of the note. “Thank you to our Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness Countess of Wessex, for the inspiring letter and her kind words of support for crew and staff at @TVAirAmb.”

Last month, Queen Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law posted a video on the official Royal Family Instagram account to remind followers that there are resources to help them cope with loneliness.

“For parents and carers, it can be a daunting time to help our children and young people through this period of uncertainty but please don’t feel alone,” the caption read. “Make use of the resources out there and the fantastic digital communities that are sharing and supporting them. Stay safe and thinking of you all. For those at home with their children, The Countess of Wessex has highlighted some useful resources that you may find helpful - visit our story for more.”

Keep the motivational words coming.
