Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumna Sarah Michelle Gellar is reentering the world of television. This time, in a dramedy titled Other People’s Houses.
The 42-year-old actress is reuniting with Ringer creators Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder on the project, which has been set at Fox for development.
Based on the book by Abbi Waxman, the series will follow nine people living in the quiet neighborhood of Larchmont Village in Los Angeles. Through the lens of social media, the show’s characters try to navigate their way through emotional ups and downs, along with their partners, parents, friends, neighbors and more. Think somewhere between Big Little Lies and Catastrophe.
Charmelo and Snyder will write and executive produce while Gellar is set to produce and star as Anne Porter, a working mom and a social media influencer. Also at the center of the drama is stay-at-home-mom Frances Bloom, but no word yet on who will be taking on the role.
